Does the Welsh Government encourage schools to become Schools of Sanctuary?
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language | Answered on 17/07/2026
Becoming a School of Sanctuary is a voluntary accreditation administered by City of Sanctuary UK. Decisions on pursuing a School of Sanctuary status are made by individual schools and not the Welsh Government.
