Will the Cabinet Minister outline a timeline for the upcoming review of, and announcement on, childcare rates?

The timing of the next childcare rate review has not yet been finalised. The timeline for the review is being considered as part of preparations for the 2027-28 Budget, including the Draft Budget which will be published on 17 November 2026.
We also recognise that childcare providers will want clarity at the earliest opportunity to support their financial and business planning. Further details will be provided in due course.
