Will the Cabinet Minister confirm whether the Welsh Government's commitments on cancer patient travel will provide dedicated support for all children and young people with cancer and their families, and if not, what plans are in place to introduce such support?
We made a commitment to bring forward a national cancer plan, and to create a fund for people affected by cancer to supplement the support already provided.
I will make an announcement on 15 July about how we will take forward the national cancer plan and engage with stakeholders, such as members of the third sector. I am also due to meet the Wales Cancer Alliance of charities on 17 September.
The strategic approach to improving support for children and young people with cancer will be included in the national cancer plan. The travel fund is currently being scoped, and I will announce further detail in due course.
