How many young people in Wales have participated in the Seren programme in each of the last five years, broken down by local authority?

Answered by Deputy Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education | Answered on 01/07/2026

Academi Seren participation data is not held on a fully comparable local authority basis across the last five academic years. Seren is delivered through a network of Hubs across Wales, with participation data primarily collected at this level. The configuration of Seren Hubs has also changed during this period.

The table below shows the number of learners who participated in each Hub over the last five academic years.

Note: A dash (–) indicates that the Hub grouping was not in place in that academic year. As Hub structures changed, some local authority areas were included under different Hub groupings. For example, Ceredigion is shown as a standalone Hub in 2020–21, but is included within the Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire Hub in subsequent years.
