Will the Cabinet Minister provide a timeline for introducing the regulations required to implement sections 116-124 of the Building Safety Act 2022?

I am committed to exploring every possible avenue to speed up fire safety remediation works. The Welsh Government will use all available levers to drive progress and ensure all parties deliver on their responsibilities to keep residents safe. Sections 116-124 of the Building Safety Act 2022 do not apply in Wales. The Building Safety (Wales) Act 2026 requires the Welsh Ministers to lay a draft of a Welsh statutory instrument pertaining to Remediation Orders and Remediation Contribution Orders before the Senedd within 9 months of the Act receiving Royal Assent.
