Will the Deputy First Minister and the implementation group look further into potential loopholes that may impact the effectiveness of the Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill?
The Bill has been through full Senedd scrutiny and was successfully passed at Stage 4 on 17 March. It delivers a clear and focused response to long-standing concerns in prohibiting greyhound racing in Wales.
The legislation will be subject to a post‑legislative review to assess its operation, effect, and compliance within three years of the prohibition coming into force, and a report will be published setting out the findings.
The review is expected to look at how the Act has worked in practice and its overall impact, including implementation, compliance, enforcement, and effects on key stakeholders.
