Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the reopening of Carno station in light of UK Government's recent announcement for seven other stations in north and south Wales?
The seven new stations in Wales form part of our immediate priorities for rail in Wales funded by the UK Government’s Spending Review.
Transport for Wales’s Today, Tomorrow, Together vision outlines the ambition for the next chapter of rail in Wales. It is fully backed by both the Welsh and UK Governments with a commitment to deliver the full vision as soon as possible. This includes plans to upgrade track and signalling infrastructure on the Cambrian Line, which would unlock capacity and enable the future construction of new stations such as Carno.
