Will the Cabinet Secretary make a statement on the Government's intention to introduce same-day mental health support?
To ensure we consistently meet the needs of people in Wales, we need to transform how we provide mental healthcare. The Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy set out our ambition to be the first country in the world to provide same day open access to mental health care at the point of need and stage of readiness.
We are testing this approach at demonstrator sites across Wales and within a range of services. The delivery plan, which supports the strategy, sets out the actions which will be undertaken from 2025 to 2028, including the development of a phased approach to implementation and the evaluation of demonstrator sites.
