I am delighted that the UK Government has pledged its commitment to delivering a new station at Cardiff Parkway as part of our shared vision for improving the railway in Wales.
This will require close collaboration between the UK Government, Welsh Government and the private sector to ensure that the new Cardiff Parkway station and wider development delivers maximum benefits for passengers, local communities and the economy.
The exact funding contribution from each partner and timeline for the station’s delivery will depend on subsequent development work.
