What plans does the Welsh Government have to mitigate the potential rise in property prices and impact on farming resulting from the proposed Glyndŵr National Park in North Wales?
A new National Park could deliver lasting benefits—strengthening biodiversity, enhancing public access to nature, supporting rural jobs, and helping meet our climate goals—while showcasing the very best of our natural and cultural heritage for communities and visitors alike. The decision on whether to designate will be informed by a full Integrated Impact Assessment and Regulatory Impact Assessment which will consider the full range of costs and benefits that a new National Park could deliver. If designated, a National Park Authority would have a range of duties and responsibilities, including planning and the development and delivery of a management plan, to manage potential issues such as access to affordable housing.
