Local authorities across Wales are trialling a variety of on street electric vehicle charging solutions, including cross pavement options. Welsh Government consulted in late 2024 on amending Building Regulations to require EV charging points in new buildings with associated parking. This consultation did not cover on street parking. The government response will be published in early 2026.
