The WelTAG appraisal for the Moat Lane Junction has been completed and we intend to start a consultation on the safety options during 2026.
Officials met this week with Powys County Council to review their plans for a footbridge over the river at Caersws and explore the alignment with our Moat Lane junction safety improvements. Early indications suggest both schemes align well. Next steps are to bring both project teams together before Christmas, subject to their availability.
It will be for any future Government to make a decision on the outcome of the consultation.
