Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the creation of women's health hubs in all Welsh health boards?
Health Boards are on track to deliver the commitment to establish a pathfinder Women’s Health Hub by March 2026, with some hubs providing services as early as January 2026, well ahead of the March deadline.
Women’s Health Hubs are designed to improve outcomes, enhance access and deliver a better experience of health and care services for women. They will be subject to evaluation to inform future development.
To support their establishment, each Health Board has received an additional £300,000 in this financial year. Initial priority areas for the hubs are: Menopause, menstrual health, including endometriosis, and contraception. These priorities reflect feedback from women gathered during the development of the Discovery Report and Women’s Health Plan.
