Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the Welsh Government’s feasibility study into a squirrelpox vaccine?
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs | Answered on 08/10/2025
On 1st July Welsh Government officials sent invitations to suppliers registered on Sell2Wales to tender for the review of the feasibility of a squirrelpox vaccine. The contract specification included the benefits, risks and costs, as well as research, manufacture, marketing authorisation, and deployment aspects. No bids were received. My officials are now considering the next steps.
