Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on how the Welsh Government is assisting people over 50 on cost-of-living challenges, after a significant increase in over 50s stating they have found the cost of living a challenge in the last 5 years?

We continue to support people over 50 across Wales and Clwyd West to mitigate the pressures of the cost-of-living crisis, investing over £7bn between 2022 and 2026 in schemes which help people access their entitlements and help keep money in people’s pockets and targeting support at people who need it most. We have created a page on our website which outlines the help that is available - Get help with the cost of living | GOV.WALES

Our Claim What's Yours benefits take-up campaign provides help for people to access the financial support they are entitled to. Claim what's yours campaign | GOV.WALES

Our funding for Safe and Warm Hubs provides warm and safe spaces in the community where people can find company and get support and is part of our ongoing package of support including our Discretionary Assistance Fund, Single Advice Fund Services, and Fuel Vouchers Scheme. The warm and safe spaces have shown that they have played a significant role in fostering social connections, alleviating loneliness, and enhancing users’ overall wellbeing.
