Will the Government provide an overview of the implementation of the Council of Europe’s European Social Charter in Wales, including the extent to which its provisions, or part of its provisions, are effective and enforceable in Welsh law?
The UK is the member state signed up to the European Social Charter and the UK Government submits national reports to the Council of Europe demonstrating its implementation of the European Social Charter. The Welsh Government inputs into these reports where we have devolved functions in relation to those policy areas.
The 43rd National Report on the Implementation of the European Social Charter was submitted by the Government of the United Kingdom and registered by the Secretariat on 3 January 2025.
