Will the Cabinet Secretary make a statement on Welsh patients being treated in England due to faster treatment times?
As I previously stated in my response to WQ96838, there are well-established links and mutual arrangements in place between NHS England and NHS Wales.
These arrangements enable organisations to access additional services and capacity, where this is not available locally, within the timescales required. They may be part of routine planning or may also be part of additional capacity contracts to support recovery.
Health boards in Wales have been cooperating with their counterparts in NHS England for many years, and continue to do so, to offer the best care to the populations they serve.
Any services commissioned from providers within or outside Wales are agreed using Welsh access targets.
