Will the Government hold an inquiry into the performance of Planning and Environment Decisions Wales?

I do not consider an inquiry necessary. Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) monitor their performance to identify areas for improvement. As a result, PEDW have already recruited and trained new staff to focus and deliver their top priorities in 2025. PEDW have introduced changes to their ways of working to speed up every step of the application and appeal process, from validation to decision. They are working with stakeholders to improve the quality of submissions to avoid delays during the application.
