When is the secondary phase of the licensing of animal welfare national model coming into effect and how can interested members of the public become involved?

As set out in my written statement of 24 June, we will take a phased approach to introducing a national model for the regulation of animal welfare, working closely with stakeholders, operational agencies, industry and the third sector.
Any future changes to legislation in this area will be subject to public consultation.
