How much bottom trawling is currently taking place in the Welsh Government's marine conservation zone areas of search?

An assessment of activities including bottom trawling and their interactions with the proposed Marine Conservation Zones is currently being undertaken as part of the Regulatory Impact Assessment. The first iteration of this work is due to complete in Autumn 2025. Publication of the Regulatory Impact Assessment will form part of the consultation package expected in 2026.
