Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm what KPIs the Welsh Government has in place to monitor their ALN reform?
A comprehensive programme to monitor and evaluate the progress of our ALN reforms is in place. This includes a four-year formative evaluation of the implementation of the ALN system and a series of Estyn thematic reviews.
In March this year we published a report presenting the findings of a survey of practitioners and professionals, and the findings of a parental survey will be published this summer. We are also monitoring ALN data collected through the PLASC to understand progress. I have asked officials to ensure data arrangements are fully aligned with reforms and explore where they can be further improved to inform policy and delivery.
