Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the action taken to tackle sewage discharges in Pembrokeshire?

Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs | Answered on 25/06/2025

We are working with water companies and wider partners to drive forward long-term solutions. Following the recent water Price Review determination, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) will invest £6 billion in Wales between 2025-30, including more than £1.2 billion to reduce harm from storm overflows and prevent nutrient pollution. In the meantime, the mandatory requirement for sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) on almost all new developments is helping to alleviate pressure on the storm overflow network.
