How much has the Welsh Government spent on the Seren Academy since its inception?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Education | Answered on 10/06/2025

The structure of the new delivery team will involve a redistribution of existing funds. Since its inception in 2015 to the end of the financial year 2024 – 25, the Welsh Government has invested £16,054,057 in The Seren Academy.

The new delivery managers will collaborate to provide an all Wales Seren offer to our brightest learners in Wales. They will engage and build relationships with designated schools and FE colleges; represent Seren across their regional footprint; ensure learners and centres are informed of all opportunities and activities; and inspire learners to fulfil their potential.

The following data is a sample of Seren learners, not every learner. This data is Management Information (MI) and not official Welsh Government statistics. We rely on schools to provide this data and therefore do not get a 100% return every year.
