The Welsh Government provides £920,000 a year to Veterans NHS Wales to provide specialised, priority service for veterans experiencing mental health difficulties related to their military service. We also have resources within Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to support Health Boards which employ peer mentors based on local need.
