Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm how many train stations have opened in Wales since 2014, broken down by year?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales | Answered on 11/04/2025

Three train stations have opened in Wales since 2014:

  • Bow Street [2021]
  • Ebbw Vale Town [2015]
  • Pye Corner [2014]

These follow the opening of Energlyn & Churchill Park station in December 2013.

As part of our over £1bn investment to upgrade the Core Valley Lines, Transport for Wales will open new stations at Butetown and Crwys Road.
