What action is the Welsh Government taking to ensure that Wales's transition to renewable energy does not compromise energy security, particularly during periods of low generation?

Energy security is a reserved matter for the UK Government. We are working with the UK Government to deliver the Clean Power 2030 Action Plan that will secure a cleaner and more resilient energy system.

Action we are taking to scale up renewable energy generation, to support energy planning through the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan and Local Area Energy Plans and our direct delivery of renewable energy projects through Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru and Ynni Cymru are examples of steps we are taking to support energy security and resilience.
