Supporting children and young people with their mental health is important for this government and we will soon be publishing our all-age Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy which reflects this. The Strategy will outline our priorities for the next decade with an emphasises on early years development, prevention and early intervention.

We are continuing with our significant programme of work to improve the mental health and well-being of young people which includes the joint Ministerial approach in schools, our CAMHS schools in-reach services, the NYTH/NEST framework and a range of easy to access mental health support that includes CALL, 111 press 2 and online therapy modules.

Where more targeted intervention is needed, we have focused investment and support, and we are now seeing improvements in waiting times to access mental health services for children and young people in Wales
