What proportion of buildings identified as at risk due to unsafe cladding have yet to undergo completion of remediation works?
Aluminium Composite Materials (ACM) cladding, which was the material that clad the Grenfell Tower, was found on and removed from 15 buildings in Wales. However, our programme is not focussed only on cladding, it is dealing with the remediation of both internal and external fire safety issues.
As outlined in our latest Welsh Building Safety Programme newsletter, there are now 433 buildings in the programme. Of these, 43% are either complete or works are underway. 47% of buildings are in the planning stages. And the remaining 10% either do not require works, or remediation needs are yet to be identified.
