How many cyber security breaches have there been in the last five years across each Welsh Government department?

Since January 1st 2020, there have been five cyber security breaches across Welsh Government departments, none of which had a significant impact to services.
Education
- 4 Hwb accounts were compromised as a result of phishing emails (2020)
Local Government
- An email account on the academiwales.org.uk domain was compromised and used to send malicious emails (2021)
Economy
- A sub-domain of an old testing site was maliciously taken over and re-directing to a foreign gambling site (2021)
Rural Affairs
- An EIDCymru customer service email account was compromised resulting in the distribution of spam emails (2023)
Corporate Services
- Firewall devices were compromised but the attackers were unable to proceed further into the network (2024)
