The Welsh Government has been working with the Charity Commission and Community Foundation Wales on the Wales Revitalising Trust since 2020.
The Revitalising Trust enables the Charity Commission to contact dormant and ineffective charities and trusts in Wales and help them to reactivate. If this is not feasible then the trusts are invited to transfer the management of funds to the Community Foundation Wales or into another local charity or trust with similar aims. In this way, funds again start to benefit communities.
