Regional Growth Areas in Future Wales are towns which are important centres of employment, retail and leisure where further development would be appropriate.
Future Wales provides a basis for a strengthened regional planning system. When preparing or reviewing Strategic and Local Development plans for areas containing regional growth areas, local planning authorities must include policies and allocate sites for housing and employment commensurate with that role.
