What measures does the Welsh Government have in place to support economic growth and job creation, in light of national insurance contributions rising for employers?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning | Answered on 14/11/2024

Our plans to grow the economy are set out within the Economic Mission: Priorities for a Stronger Economy. In recent weeks, we have had positive engagement with UK government on the development of a UKG wide Industrial Strategy, a 10-year plan which aims to encourage growth and create jobs by providing businesses with the stability and certainty they need to invest. We will work with the UK Government and deliberately target growth-driving places and sectors and aim to remove the barriers to growth across the economy. Wales is pro-business and works in Social Partnership with employers and others to ensure our economy has what it needs for growth and jobs.
