How does the Welsh Government account for the increase in the population of Welsh prisoners, following the recent analysis by the Wales Governance Centre on Welsh prisons?

Sentencing and the operational running of the prison system are reserved to the UK Government. We liaise closely with the Ministry of Justice and HM Prison and Probation Service where we have responsibilities such as health, education and social care and on justice issues. I look forward to meeting the Wales Governance Centre to discuss their report.
