Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the cross-border health partnership between the UK and Welsh Governments, and advise when Welsh residents will see tangible results, such as a reduction in waiting times?
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care | Answered on 25/10/2024
This is an opportunity to reset relationships between two governments and enable us to share best practice and to consider how we can improve outcomes and waiting times for people on both sides of the border, while respecting devolution.
Health boards can continue to build on the well-established mutual arrangements already in place which enable NHS providers in Wales and England to commission services for patients who live in border communities.
