Consent is required from Welsh Ministers to write off any losses of more than £50k. I can confirm there have been no such instances in recent years.
Disclosures in relation to “culpable causes e.g. theft, fraud, arson or sabotage whether proved or suspected, neglect of duty or gross carelessness” are required, as set out in the Manual of Accounts.
