Will the Government review the proposal for the Cardiff Hendre Lakes development, given that Future Wales identifies the Gwent Levels as a national natural resource and Planning Policy Wales 12 sets a principled presumption against development on a SSSI that is not necessary for the management of the site?

The planning application is under active consideration and a decision will be issued in due course. As this is a live call-in case it would be inappropriate for the Welsh Ministers at this stage to provide any comment on the merits of the application in order to avoid prejudicing the final decision.
