What steps is the Welsh Government taking to fund the continued study of the risk of pollution caused by shipwrecks around the Welsh coast?

Funding has not been specifically provided for the purposes of identifying any pollution risks from wrecks. However, depending on the locations, a proposal could fall within the criteria for the Marine Protected Area Management Scheme. In any instance where a wreck is causing or thought to be causing pollution the response would be covered by maritime pollution contingency plan processes.
