When does the Cabinet Secretary expect the fire and rescue authorities in Wales to act on the Chief Fire and Rescue Advisor and Inspector for Wales’s findings?
The Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser and Inspector for Wales published his report on the effectiveness of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s response to domestic dwelling fires on 8 October. On the same day I wrote to the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service Commissioners and the Chairs of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority and North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority asking them to act on the findings as soon as possible. The Welsh Government will monitor progress on the delivery of the recommendations in meetings with the Fire and Rescue Authorities and other interested parties.
