Hywel Dda University Health Board is responsible for ensuring the provision of safe, high quality clinical services to its local population.
The health board has decided the minor injury unit at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli will temporarily become a 12-hour daytime service from 1 November because of safety issues.
I expect the health board to follow the national service change guidance and engage with Llais and its local communities. I have been assured the health board intends to run an information and engagement campaign and I would strongly encourage people to engage with the health board as it considers its longer term planning.
