Will the Cabinet Secretary outline the action the Welsh Government has taken, and the resources it has made available over the past 12 months for the development of a squirrelpox vaccine to protect Wales’s native red squirrels?

As I set out in my letter to you in June, I have agreed to commission an external, independent review of the feasibility of the deployment of a squirrelpox vaccine. The review will focus on the risks, benefits, and costs, and look at research, manufacture and marketing authorisation aspects.
