Mandatory disability awareness training for taxi and private hire vehicle driver’s will require a change in legislation. We intend to publish a draft taxi and private hire vehicle Bill for consultation later in this Senedd term. In the meantime officials are working with stakeholders to develop training materials for local authorities to use voluntarily. This includes disability equality and awareness training.
