Further to WQ94223, when does the Counsel General expect the legislative options working group analysis will be completed and the next steps undertaken?
While the Legislative Options Working Group (LOWG) is undertaking its analysis it is not possible to provide a specific date as to when this work will conclude or next steps. The LOWG work independently of Welsh Government and are undertaking complex and novel analysis which has not been done in Wales before and have therefore taken time to refine analysis methodology to inform their thinking which will include advice on next steps. Updates on the work of the LOWG are regularly reported to the Human Rights Advisory Group on progress and minutes of their meetings are now published on the Welsh Government website.
