What is the Welsh Government doing to tackle dog attacks on livestock in Wales?
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs | Answered on 03/10/2024
Dog owners should familiarise themselves with Natural Resources Wales’ Countryside Code which provides clear guidance on the responsibility of dog owners to keep their dogs under effective control.
As a result of ongoing engagement, we have worked with Blue Cross so that their responsible dog courses include a module on livestock attacks. Messages are also shared regularly on responsible ownership through social media.
