Will the Welsh Government follow the recommendations of the Senedd Petitions Committee's recent report 'A cashless society' in taking steps to avoid a cashless Wales due to the impact it could have on elderly and disabled people?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Trefnydd and Chief Whip | Answered on 27/09/2024

The ability to pay for goods and services in cash is a cross - government issue, impacting particularly elderly and disabled people who may be excluded from accessing services at businesses and venues. Welsh Government has responded formally to the Committee and this response will be published in due course.
