What discussion has the Cabinet Secretary had with the National Music Service to ensure that the Musicians' Union be given a union seat on the National Music Service advisory board, in line with the Welsh Government’s commitment to social partnership?
The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) is the lead body for the National Music Service and is responsible for operational matters, including the Service’s advisory board. While I have not had direct discussions with the WLGA regarding the Musicians’ Union, my officials have been in contact with the WLGA on this matter. The Musicians’ Union, along with other relevant unions, is represented on a separate working group set up by the National Music Service to explore the programme strand on the review of terms and conditions of music services staff.
