Will the Cabinet Secretary clarify whether the Welsh Government is still asking the UK Home Office to extend to 56 days the current 28-day move on period for newly granted refugees?

The Welsh Government position is that the ‘move on’ period for newly granted refugees should be amended to 56 days to align with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 homelessness prevention duties. We will continue to encourage the UK Government to make this change. We fund the Welsh Refugee Council to support refugees in Wales during this crucial period.
