Coal tips in Wales need a sustained programme of investment to make them safe and sustainable for the future. The case for UK Government to contribute to the funding of the remediation and reclamation of disused coal tips is clear and compelling. This is something which Welsh Government has raised with UK Government at every available opportunity in recent years and will continue to raise.
