What is the process of adapting or newly designating a) areas of national growth, and b) areas of regional growth within Future Wales: The National Plan 2040?

It is expected the next review period for Future Wales: The National Plan will commence in 2026, as part of the five year review cycle for the National Development Framework, and changes to the national growth areas would be taken forward as part of that review. Future Wales was devised through an extensive programme of engagement, consultation, assessment, evidence gathering and scrutiny. Any potential revisions identified as part of the review process would follow the same extensive programme and be fully supported by appropriate evidence.
