The commitment to reduce long waiting times remains a priority for Welsh Government, and this remains the case. Accountability arrangements for the oversight of the performance of the NHS in Wales has been maintained over the summer recess and these are being used to further guide recovery plans for the Autumn Winter period.
We continue to work with colleagues across the UK to enable mutual support to the challenges that remain with long waits for treatment.
