The statistics used in the Senedd Commission's Annual Report on its Official Languages Plan for the year 2023-24 refer to all the documents published on the Senedd's website that are publicly available.
Given that Senedd Committees do not publish their draft papers, they are not included in the annual report. In view of this fact, the figure of 34 documents published by the Senedd Committees in English alone does not include draft committee reports.
The purpose of committee meeting paper packs is to give Members the opportunity to digest the content of impending meetings and reports. These packs are private, and their use is limited to Members and their staff and those staff who serve the committees.
